An Industry-Project with The Smart Local (TSL). My team and I had to present our ideas of a newsworthy video to TSL.
We chose the idea of "Going Vegan For A Week With A Budget." similar to Singaporeans Try (a segment from TSL) to suit the audience and content that TSL has been producing. We also interviewed Hilmi, who is a vegan, to find out more about veganism.
Our video won best video of the class.

THE NEW PAPER
An Industry-Project with The New Paper (TNP). My team and I had to produce a news package to pitch to an editor of TNP.
We choose the theme of 'diabetes' as it was something that was being talked about a lot at that time.
The news package includes several features, a photo essay and a video. The video shows Youths trying out diabetic and non-diabetic foods, to see if they could spot any differences. Our team won best package of the class

Our newsmaker, Mr Low Bing Wen, a Biodiversity Manager who focuses more on birds. He was fortunate to turn his passion into a career. We wanted our video showcase what he does and from there to encourage people to be more interested in Singapore's biodiversity, just like Mr Bing Wen.

My team's video highlights how the East Brisbane community are concerned over the billion dollar plans to reconstruct the Gabba Stadium. We spoke to several people to get their thoughts on the future of East Brisbane State School and Raymond Park.

A graded assignment for a unit called Newsroom at Queensland University of Technology.
My team's video talks about Guerrilla Gardening and highlights the efforts of a guerrilla gardening initiative called Growing Forward. We uncovered how projects like Growing Forward allows locals to reclaim wasted land for agricultural uses. Growing Forward is an initiative that aims to grow and provide free produce for people who are struggling as well as the local community.

The video also touches on how gardening has a positive impact on mental health.

An Industry-Project with People's Association to cover 2016's Chingay Parade. My team's video highlights not only the event, but the people who made the event possible. We decided to focus on first-time Chingay performers. The video focuses on why and how they felt participating in a big event like Chingay.
Our video won Best Broadcast in the whole Diploma in Mass Communication cohort.
